Even before we had kids summer time meant travel time for us. Which is mainly because I was teaching and once school was out, we were itching to get out there and see the world. Once I became a stay at home mom we planned our vacations for whenever worked best and were able to score some pretty sweet deals in the off-season.

Like I said we’ve been using our Discover it Miles Card for several years now and have seriously loved the rewards. Not only are you able to use your points towards airline flights, hotel bookings, and travel expenses. You can also apply points towards a balance on your credit card or even redeem for cash back! I really enjoy that the ease of transferring those points towards purchases after the fact. I know other cards that don’t offer this convenience and it makes things so much easier.
We always carry our Discover it Miles Card while traveling but also use it for every day uses such as groceries, gas etc. to build up points that we can use towards traveling expenses. This came in especially handy the first year we had the card and racked up double the amount of miles with no spending cap!
