Good morning!
It’s time for Marvelous in My Monday!
The weekend went by way to fast probably because it was filled with so much fun! So as usual I’m joining Katie for Marvelous in My Monday!

My best friend lives in Seattle and I don’t get to see her all that often. So when she told me she was going to be in our home town for a weekend we planned a trip up there as well. Making the most of our time we visited with lots of friends and family Image may be NSFW.

Friday we drove up to Chico and met our good friends for dinner at Sierra Nevada Brewery.

The kids played while we waited for our table then we enjoyed some yummy food and conversation. Always a great time to see them.
After dinner we finished our drive up to Redding and went straight to bed exhausted. However, The Love Nugget did not sleep well so we were even more tired the next day. Traveling with kids can be so fun!
Saturday morning my best friend and her daughter came over to do a quick workout with me. I set up some stuff for circuits, exercises with kids, and toys for them to play with. It went okay. Not the best workout but it was fun!

My mom made us all a yummy breakfast so we enjoyed that after. Egg casserole, fresh melon from her garden and sweet potatoes. Yum!

We went to my friends dads house after that to go swim for a little while. The Love Nugget was so hesitant about getting into the duck floatie but once he was in he had a blast!

So much so that we had a hard time getting him to go home to rest.
A little later we went and picked up my Grandpa and meet my brother, his wife and his kids for dinner.

A tried a new restaurant called Cicada Cantina that ended up being pretty good!
I actually ordered shrimp ceviche but the chef came out to tell me that it hadn’t marinated long enough so might not be cooked through all the way. So he made me a special grilled Mahi dish with a lime cilantro pesto (minus the cheese) over grilled veggies instead of rice. It was so good!

After dropping off the kiddos with my mom we went to meet up with some friends at View 202 in Redding.
Didn’t snap many pictures because we were too busy chatting and enjoying each others company. We stayed out much later than I’m used to but it was worth it to see some friends I never get to.

I was dragging Sunday morning so the planned run I had didn’t happen. We did however go for a walk up the road to the neighbor’s house to visit the donkeys which turned into a quick 2 mile jog for me.

After we packed up and got cleaned up we headed to my dads work to meet my bestie, her husband, her daughter and my dad for brunch.

He is the Ranch Manager at Anselmo’s Vineyard which is a gorgeous winery, restaurant, ranch, and so much more!

He grows all the vegetables, tends to the cows and lambs which are raised on the ranch, runs the hunting club and takes care of many other tasks on the property. They have a great restaurant and we enjoyed a yummy brunch out on the patio.
After we drove up to the chapel in their cool old school, European car/taxi. The Love Nugget thought he was so special that he got to ride on a “little” car seat. Don’t worry, it was just a short jaunt on a private road up the hill Image may be NSFW.

They hold Mass there on Sunday every once in a while but only for the owner, his family and friends.

Before we left we visited the garden to load up on some fresh veggies from the garden!

I think we are stocked up for at least a week!
Such a fun weekend and the only downfall was that we had to drive the 3 1/2 hours home Image may be NSFW.
